The Ruth Andrews Memorial Fund

Societies grow great when wise women plant trees in the shade of which they will never sit.

Cancer touches us all, and in recent years, the people of this little regional football club have seemed to have been touched more than their fair share.

Ruth Andrews, a former family member of the WFC passed away in 2023.

Thanks to her foresight and generosity, it was her wish to help fledgling wedgetails get out onto the field, improve their skills, and most importantly to have fun.

We want to acknowledge Ruth’s generous donation to the club before she passed, which we will use wisely in the coming years to do just this.

Thank you Ruth – wherever you are - we will honour your legacy.

Thanks to the generosity and foresight of Ruth, the WFC can offer financial support to players and their families who may not be able to afford the fees or to buy the equipment they need (boots, shin pads or other).
